Obsolete

This page is obsoleted by the latest version of CygWin which contains binary archive of RCS 5.7 patchlevel 3.

I heard last day that many portions of GNU tools are recently maintained in Linux distributions and the original source trees are left untouched.

My work below doesn't pay any more.

compiling RCS 5.7 on CygWin

GNU RCS 5.7 is old enough to be stable. But I got trouble with compiling it with CygWin on Windows9x.

Since CygWin archives does not contain RCS, I wonder if anyone is in the same trouble.

I tried to search for the solution on the problem and found some patch.

Since recent version of CygWin contains diffutils, only the revision of #if condition in rcslex.c works.
